MPS is led by Mary F. Hutchinson. Ms. Hutchinson directs
all aspects of GIS project management, analysis, training and technical
support. She has over 20 years of professional experience in the GIS,
planning and mapping industries, both in the United States and overseas.
She earned a Master in Community Planning degree at the University of
Rhode Island where she won the American Institute of Certified Planner’s
(AICP) Outstanding Student Award. She completed her undergraduate studies
at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia and earned
the Bachelor of Applied Science in Cartography.
Ms. Hutchinson sits on the board of the Rhode Island
Geographic Information System (RIGIS) Executive Committee and the New
England Chapter of the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association
(NEURISA). She is Vice-President of the Conanicut Island Land Trust
and Past Vice-Chair of the Jamestown Conservation Commission.
Her planning work has received awards from the
American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and American Planning
Association (APA). Many of her maps have received awards, been published
as limited editions or in award-winning publications both in the United
States and Australia.
