Mary Completes Fourth TourDeRidge
May 2009 -- After bicycling from the Great Smokey Mountains National Park (NC) to the Shenandoah National Park (VA) Mary Hutchinson wonders if there is not an easier way to see the Blue Ridge and Appalachian Mountains? After 11-days, 510+ miles and 49,000 ft of uphill climbing and 49,000 ft of downhills - Mary says anything in life is doable. She is reminded of her old alma mater in Australia "Nil magnum nisi bonum" (Nothing is great unless it is good).

It was Hutchinson's fourth bicycle tour along America's Most Scenic Road --
the Blue Ridge Parkway, the longest National Park in the world.
